HOLIDAYS TO PLEASE FOUR-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS AND OWNERS ALIKE
The Sykes Staycation Index found that properties listed with the company that were pet-friendly outperformed their counterparts that weren’t.
The experts behind Pets Pyjamas, a leading pet-friendly holiday specialist, have just introduced their first doggie road trip.
Based in the Cotswolds countryside, the adventure involves a carefully curated selection of stately homes and pet-friendly pubs, along with lesser-known scenic walks through quaint villages and fields. It spans six nights--two nights each in three different locations.
"Holidays are often about experiencing something new, so inspired by one of our dog-friendly travel trends of 2019, we’re thrilled to offer our first ever road trip experience to the much-loved destination of the Cotswolds," says Denise Elphick, Co-Founder of Pets Pyjamas.
This company is not the only one with a focus on our four-legged friends, however.
Seaview Holiday Park in Cornwall has just opened its new dog-friendly bar, complete with special drinks and snacks.
Amongst a nest of cushions and water bowls, dogs can nestle and enjoy a thoroughly refreshing serving of Pawsecco, or pint of doggy beer. Treats are also abundant, and if the canine patron is lucky enough to be celebrating their birthday, a special cake will be presented.
General manager of Seaview, Richard Jones, said: “We want our park to be one of the best places to holiday with pets. We have increased our range of pet friendly accommodation to include Luxury and Superior caravans and we have new Pet Perfect Bungalows which have a dog friendly area outside with a secure dog lead fix point. We have more ideas in the pipeline and hope to include doggy ice-cream on the menu soon.”
