Groundworks Underway for £150M Holiday Village in Anglesey
Land and Lakes’ development of a resort of the likes of Centre Parcs in North Wales begins groundworks for construction after achieving planning approval. The project is now estimated to cost approximately £150m, a £20 million increase since plans for the project began.
Pre-construction survey works and investigative groundworks have officially started phase one of its construction at the 600 acre site in Anglesey.
Penrhos Leisure Village is expected to create hundreds of jobs during its construction phase as well as permanent jobs once it officially opens for business.
The future village is expected to contribute greatly to Anglesey’s tourism economy, which at the moment reaches £260m per annum.
Director of operations for Land & Lakes Gill Ronayne said:
“This is a scheme with a long-term vision which will be part of the Anglesey growth story for generations to come.”
