Wigwam® Holidays Opens a New Site in Devon!

Sounding like it’s straight out of the pages of an exciting Famous Five novel, Larkworthy Farm Wigwams is not only the latest site to join the UK’s number one glamping accommodation provider – it is also the first Wigwam® Holidays site in the beautiful county of Devon!

Higher Larkworthy Farm nestles in the rolling hills and pastures of West Devon, being home to a herd of beef and flock of sheep, looked after by owner Alistair Kirk.

Mr Kirk said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests to our beautiful Running Water Deluxe cabin, which overlooks our orchard and our rare breed Jacob sheep.

“The farm has footpaths that lead to the local village, about a mile away, which has a shop, church and country pub which serves good food.

“Our Wigwam® cabin which can sleep up to a family of four, has en-suite facilities and a mini-kitchen. The cabin is fully insulated to keep you warm and cosy and makes this the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy your holiday.”

Devon’s lush countryside has been inspirational to countless well-known authors, including Enid Blyton, who penned hundreds of children’s books including the Famous Five series and Henry Williamson, who wrote his classic tale ‘Tarka the Otter’, based in the Devonshire countryside.

The county boasts a number of famous Devonians including Olympian Tom Daley, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, soul singer Joss Stone, while historical figures including polar explorer Captain Scott and crime writer Agatha Christie were born in the county.
