Glamping With A Difference at Montrave Estate Wigwams
Set in the heart of Fife, Montrave Estate Wigwams welcomes guests to its private estate including ancient woodlands, timber cabins and hot tubs!
The latest addition to the Wigwam® Holidays network, based on the historic Montrave Estate, at Leven near Fife, is set to welcome guests from late October 2017.
Co-owner Nicholas Gilmour has a background in construction and was attracted to the Wigwam® Holidays brand due to the quality of its cabins and business ethos. Eight en-suite Running Water Deluxe cabins, created in nearby Perth, will be in place in the mid-autumn.
Nick, who is married to Airin, said: “Our beautiful 250-acre estate includes mature woodland walks, a walled garden, our working farm, and we’re just a three miles from the glorious Fife coast.
“It will be a ‘hole in one’ for golf fans as we’re based just 12 miles from St Andrews, while the Lundin Links 9 or 18-hole golf course is close by.
“Two of our Wigwams will also have spectacular wood-fired hot tubs, perfect for a relaxing break for guests.”
Nicholas continued: “The Beechgrove Garden, BBC Scotland’s popular gardening programme, recently visited our walled garden, and the resulting coverage will be broadcast on Thursday 14th September 2017 at 7pm (BBC2 Scotland).”
The couple have two teenage boys and ran a furniture business together in Perth before moving back to Montrave. The couple also run the successful Montrave House B&B, giving them excellent hospitality experience.
When asked what future plans Nick and Airin have for Montrave Estate Wigwams, Nick said: “As we both enjoy the great outdoors, Wigwam® Holidays are a perfect fit. Our future plans include the possibility of additional Wigwam cabins, installing tree houses and opening a small farm shop selling home grown venison from the farm.
“Ultimately, we are hoping to also host small events, conferences and intimate weddings, develop mountain bike trails, and make Montrave a magnificent holiday destination.”
