DEMAND FOR HOT TUB ACCOMMODATION RISES AMONGST FAMILY MARKET
Holiday operator Hoseasons - currently part of Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK - have revealed there is a significant increase in the interest by family groups to book more high-end holiday experiences, specifically that of properties including hot tubs as part of their offering.
The holiday specialist revealed that bookings for their lodges with hot tubs made by this specific demographic had increased by 20% compared to the year before, and bookings made through third-parties such as travel agents increased as much as 29%.
Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK’s Managing Director, Simon Altham, said: “We’ve known for a while families want to take shorter, more frequent breaks, but these figures clearly show that doesn’t mean compromising on quality.”
“Hot tubs provide a real ‘wow’ factor for customers looking to book a weekend away – especially those celebrating a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. The bubbles add that extra element of fun while also delivering an affordable luxury experience they can’t get at home.”
“Ongoing investment in accommodation and facilities means many lodges now have top of the range tubs with different power settings and mood lighting, all of which increase the indulgence as part of a really relaxing short break.”
Hoseasons are making the most out of their increased bookings by promoting ‘Hoseasons Hot Tub Month’, a marketing campaign bringing attention to the popularity of ‘bubble breaks’ during the Winter season.
