£25M LUXURY RESORT IN ST IVES GETS GO AHEAD

Kingfisher Resorts’ newest £25M project - Una St Ives - has been given the go-ahead, with works expected to start at the end of the year.

The new luxury resort planned for Cornwall will include an apartment hotel and 130 self-contained villas & apartments, as well as a variety of leisure facilities and landscaped open spaces for guests to enjoy. The hotel will also include a cafe/bistro, a home bakery, and a dedicated entertainment area.

"We want to create a world-class resort with iconic architecture and are delighted that our plans have won approval,” said Kingfisher Resorts’ Commercial Director, Damian Sargent.

"We expect to be on site before the end of the year and are aiming to complete the first phase of the scheme, which will include the hotel, apartments and an exciting range of new leisure facilities for visitors and locals, by Easter 2020".

"This spacious accommodation is perfect for couples who wish to spend more than a couple of nights on holiday.”

As well as the development of new accommodation, the current leisure club will be expanded in order to cater for the expected increase in visitors, and will include a large heated swimming pool, higher capacity fitness facilities and two padel tennis courts.
